The restaurant is really clean. They still have things set up like they did during the worst of covid. food is reasonably priced. I got chicken and steak, rice, noodles, and soup for only $13.They were pretty fast with the order. The food was good. The rice and noodles were just a little bland, and I needed more white sauce to help give it some flavor. Overall, the food was good, and I'll definitely go back.

I really enjoyed my food from this restaurant. I was really impressed with the amount of food given and for the price. I will say the rice and noodles did not have as much flavor as I would have liked but the veggies and meat were very flavorful. The impact on flavor combined with the rice and noodles made it taste very will when paired together!

Goodness gracious this was a delicious plate of hibachi at such a reasonable price. The steak and chicken was absolutely amazing. The dinner plate came with rice and noodles. And a choice of soup or salad. The soup was so rich in flavor. And the white sauce was beyond amazing. This little place rivals the expensive places.

The combination plates and California sushi roll were very good! We came in, were able to order right away for take-out and it was barely a 10 minute wait. Inside the ambiance is nice, however, they did have a broken window boarded up.

I tried Okyto for the first time recently and oh my goodness it's everything I want in a fast hibachi place! The 3 highlights for me were the variety of protein options and endless combinations, noodles AND rice come with the dinner entree (so obviously portion is huge), and they have hot mustard! When I walked in to pick up my order and all the tables were occupied, I knew I had discovered a well-kept secret. For my entree I ordered the combination entree steak and scallops. I appreciated that when I called it in, they actually asked what my temperature preference was for the steak. My boyfriend got the chicken and shrimp, and he enjoyed his meal as well. He said the shrimp was not overcooked, which receives additional recognition in my book. With your entree you also get a choice of soup or salad. I typically opt for soup, and my boyfriend will get salad so all the bases are covered. The entree also includes onions and zucchini, and they were seasoned and sauteed well. You get to order exactly as many sauces as you want and I don't think they charge for each sauce, which is another win! Overall the menu is very reasonably priced, and I will definitely be back when a hibachi hankering hits again.

My lunch special food was delicious. Steak and shrimp. Outside doesn't look like much & the interior is simple. But the food was amazing. I loved it and it didn't upset my stomach at all.

Time to review another standard that has been with us since before the pandemic, and still is a place we frequent. Okyto is nothing flashy, but is the perfect take-out option (you can dine in) to get the job done when you are wanting a filling Japanese meal without all the show. In fact, I would argue that the flavor on theirs is often better than your average teppanyaki place in this area. Even though this spot is in the middle of Wendover, the busiest road in Greensboro, it is easy to miss. Still tucked into a tiny strip mall nestled among the parking of Sam's Club, Golden Corrall, Applebee's, and various other nonsense... you'll find it, a vape shop, and a Subway on their own little island. What I like about this place, is you get a small amount of stir fry noodles with each order, a welcome change up from just rice and veggies. Even with the price of eating out going up so much in recent years, it is still an affordable option if you get a single item dinner. Combo plates are a bit more expensive. Their best option for value, if you can get a few people to agree on some limited choices, are the family platters. Most recently I went with the snapper and beef filet. The beef filet was good and tender as usual, the snapper, while decent flavor, was a smaller cut than I would have liked. I think I'll stick to land based proteins and shrimp here from now on. All in all, probably one of your best choices for fast Japanese in the area!
